Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez made their highly anticipated debut at Loewe, after 11 years under Jonathan Anderson’s direction. The Parisian dream came true at the Spring/Summer 2026 Womenswear show, presenting a vision filled with joy, enthusiasm, and Spanish as well as sporty references in leather—a moment of pure energy expressed through both color and form.

With a powerful opening, the creative duo placed sculptural leather jackets molded with metal at the forefront. Among literal nods to summer, like scuba diving, they turned to Loewe’s history to define leather as their central material, infusing the maison with daring sensuality and Spanish heat.

The energy of Loewe’s Spring/Summer runway was encapsulated in distinct themes: beachwear, preppy, and casual codes—all wrapped in the maison’s emblematic craftsmanship. Each was crafted through diverse leather applications and techniques: dyeing, distressing, and embossing. The result was a high-luxury optical illusion that radiated playfulness while remaining faithful to the brand’s principles.

Loewe stepped slightly away from conceptualization to deliver something more resonant. What might seem simple at first glance is, in truth, deeply imbued with artisanal meaning and a backward glance that honors and revalues its past.
